Our Commitments

Building a better society

Our impact goes beyond our projects, we are committed to driving social value through all that we do. This is embedded in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.

We recognise that our business has an effect on the communities and environment in which we operate. We are committed to operating in a socially responsible manner, supporting a number of local communities and social / charitable causes, as well as running our operations in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Environmental

As a verified partner of the Green Organisation, we take pride in the environment and actively seek out new opportunities to improve our impact on the environment including the continuous planting of trees.

We are currently working towards ISO 14001 accreditation.

Apprenticeships

Sacx recognises the importance of apprenticeships to help develop individuals in specific trades and skills. We actively encourage young people and long-term unemployed people to join our company and work alongside our knowledgeable and experienced employees. We support and fund the attendance of college attendance.

Traineeships

We believe in giving talented individuals the opportunity to learn, grow, and master their craft in a supportive and hands-on environment. Staff are offered funded training days through the year to upskill.

Local Community

We believe strongly in supporting our local communities. Whether it’s sponsoring grassroots sports clubs, getting behind community projects, or donating to local charities, we believe in giving something back and making a difference.

Local Schools & Colleges

We are keen to work with local schools and colleges, offer insight days, routes to apprenticeships and career opportunities helping to broaden horizons for young people.

Local Businesses

As a national contractor we insist on the use of local companies, subcontractors and suppliers across all the divisions of our business.

Carbon Footprint

We are aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030 and have started to convert our fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles. Where not possible to reduce carbon emissions we offset through a variety of schemes.

Charity Events

We are currently arranging our first charity event for 2024 and will be confirming our chosen charity shortly.

Armed Forces Convent

We commit to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, both regular and reservist, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country.

Living Wage Employer

We are an accredited living wage employer, ensuring all employees and subcontractors are paid fairly. We regularly review our supply chain members to ensure their staff receive the fair living wage.

Safety

Safety is within our DNA and paramount to the success of our business. We heavily invest in the best training, advise and consultants to ensure a safe and positive working site and environment for our staff and the local community.

Sustainability

We emphasise sustainable practices throughout the full design, procurement and construction phase; utilising latest technology and plant to reduce consumption, recycle materials and improve efficiencies.
