Electrical Compliance

Brief:

Sacx were approached to carry out EICR’s remedials and rewires for a client looking after social housing properties with the Oxfordshire area to ensure the local housing association remains compliant with their obligations and regulations

What we did:

Alongside our client, our office team have undertaken the planning and scheduling of over 500 appointments for EICR’s and Rewires. The list of properties is ever growing and changing. The team of engineers would carry these works out thoroughly, including photos alongside their accurate reports to be as transparent as possible to the client. All remedial works are currently pre-approved which assists in getting a first-time satisfactory report. We carry out between 1 and 2 full rewires per week, each one with their own challenges

Challenges overcome:

Scheduling appointments with the residents around their busy life style is the biggest challenge to overcome. This can lead to appointments being scheduled several weeks in advance. To ensure we have successful visits, our team keep in touch with the residents and call or send messages to remind them

Outcome:

Sacx are currently providing a satisfactory report during the first visit for over 80% of the properties thanks to the pre-approved remedials terms. This benefits the team with scheduling other works as well as limiting the disruption to the residents
